PRAY FOR SNOW PARTY 2008

Hood River Sandbar/Kitebeach - We'll have 8-10 20m2 kites pumped and tied together to form a huge-ass awning tent where we will be premiering some of this year's latest ski/snow/backcountry flicks on an oversized movie screen(Thanks Bam).
Liquid Force, DC Snow and Rossignol will be providing their LARGE demo tents for extra coverage in case of rain (we're runnin' this show come rain or shine, dammit!).

We are seriously going to run this even if it rains a downpour. Bring a rainjacket or some stiff beverages. The fire will be burning and the tents will be dialed. Dress for a campfire party in the outdoors. We live in the NW, dress accordingly and you'll be happy.

GORGE WEATHER

  • Mt. Hood Meadows:

    • Temp: 20 at top, 26 at the base

    Conditions: Overcast and snowing, winds at 40 mph,

    New Snow: 9" overnight, 14" in the last 24 hours

    Surface: Powder!!

    Staff Comments: Call in sick! Powder day!

  • Kiting or Windsurfing in or around Hood River

    • Temp: Air 40, water 55... brrr.

    Conditions: Clear skies, but cold.

    Best for:Kiteboarding

    Wind forecast: Westerlies 15-20 in the AM, increasing to 30-35 in the afternoon.

    Staff Comments: Swing by and pick up some booties here at 2nd Wind and you'll be good to go!
